THE OPPORTUNITY
Bachelor of Nursing Program at Vin University is a four-year program designed in collaboration with #1 world ranking Nursing School at the University of Pennsylvania. The VinUni Nursing Program educates nurse leaders who will advance the Nursing profession and will be active agents for change, striving for the improvement of health and wellness of the individuals, groups, and societies.
Teaching Assistant supervises student teams/projects in large classes; support the lead faculty to clarify/answer questions students have in class, on Canvas, and via email; grade exams, assignments, and projects; prepare teaching materials, and teach small classes under the guidance and supervision of the lead faculty. He/she also conducts curriculum development related tasks to support to faculty in charge of curriculum development and maybe other tasks as per request by the line manager. The total working hours are equivalent to 44 hours per week.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
REPORT TO: Nursing Program Director
Teaching and Learning Support
- Assist the faculty in the preparation of teaching materials.
- Clinical/Practicum Teaching (where applicable): Assist the faculty in organizing, coordinating, and monitoring teaching activities at clinical practice sites or other experiential learning settings.
Student Assessment and Academic Support
- Assist faculty in evaluating student assignments, projects, examinations, and other assessments.
- Support admissions activities, student onboarding, orientation, academic advising coordination, and graduation processes.
- Provide administrative support to students regarding course-related matters and academic procedures.
Academic Administration
- Support the day-to-day administrative operations of the Master of Nursing Program, to ensure the effective delivery of academic and program activities.
- Prepare, maintain, and organize program documentation, including curriculum documents, course files, meeting minutes, reports, official correspondence, and other program records, ensure documentation complies with university regulations, accreditation and quality assurance requirements.
- Coordinate with departments on matters related to admissions, enrollment, registration, scheduling, examinations, graduation, academic policies, and student records.
- Assist in the financial and budgeting activities of the program.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, seminars, admissions events, faculty meetings, and other academic or program-related activities.
- Coordinate communication with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the smooth operation of the Program.
General Responsibilities
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with faculty, students, and administrative offices to support program operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Program Director.
- Participate in research activities and special projects as opportunities arise.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- An undergraduate degree in Health Sciences
DESIRABLE
- Postgraduate qualification in a health-related field.
- Experience in teaching health professional programs.
- Verbal communication skills in Vietnamese.
- Familiarity and experience using small group learning strategies.
- Experience of working in multidisciplinary and collaborative educational team.
ENGLISH PROFICIENCY
English is the language of teaching and communication at Vin University. For this role, communicating by English fluently is required (preferable IELTS – Academic with a score of at least 6.0 or equivalent).
