ABOUT THE POSITION
The Transformation Management Office (TMO) is driving key institutional initiatives to support the University’s long-term strategy and organizational development.
We are looking for a Talent Development & Succession Planning Specialist to support the design, coordination, and implementation of talent development and succession planning activities across the University.
This role focuses on operational execution, data tracking, and program coordination to strengthen internal talent pipelines and leadership readiness.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Succession Planning Support
- Assist in identifying critical roles and updating succession plans.
- Support collection and consolidation of succession data across units.
- Maintain succession planning documentation and tracking tools.
- Coordinate annual talent review discussions.
2. Talent Development Programs
- Support the organization of leadership development workshops and training programs.
- Coordinate mentoring and coaching initiatives.
- Track participation and completion of development activities.
- Maintain Individual Development Plan (IDP) records.
3. Talent Analytics & Reporting
- Update dashboards related to:
- Succession coverage
- HiPo tracking
- Leadership readiness indicators
- Prepare periodic reports for leadership review.
- Support data analysis for talent gap identification.
4. Competency & Capability Framework Support
- Assist in maintaining and updating competency frameworks.
- Support integration of development plans with performance review cycles.
- Prepare communication materials related to talent initiatives.
5. Coordination & Administration
- Schedule talent review meetings and leadership development sessions.
- Prepare meeting materials and summaries.
- Follow up on agreed action items with departments.
Key Performance Indicators
- Accuracy and timeliness of succession data updates
- Smooth coordination of talent review processes
- Completion rate of development programs
- Quality and timeliness of reporting
- Stakeholder satisfaction with coordination support
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in HR, talent development, or organizational support roles.
- Strong organizational and data management skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and HR systems.
- Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Interest in organizational development and leadership growth.
Preferred
- Experience in higher education or large organizations.
- Familiarity with competency frameworks or succession planning tools.
