PROJECT DESCRIPTION
IHS is looking for highly motivated title position who are committed to advancing impactful, mission-driven science contributing to the Center’s growing research ecosystem of interdisciplinary health research.
We are seeking 4–5 Research Assistants to join the I-Care and EMBRACE-AI projects, which aim to generate evidence on the development, implementation, and evaluation of innovative healthcare interventions in real-world settings. Successful candidates will contribute to a range of research activities, including literature reviews, data collection and analysis, project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and the preparation of scientific outputs that support the projects‘ research objectives.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Roles & responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be a driving force behind the project’s success and will be expected to:
- Conduct literature reviews and support evidence synthesis activities.
- Assist with research data collection, data entry, cleaning, management, and quality assurance.
- Support qualitative and quantitative data analysis as required.
- Assist in the preparation of research reports, presentations, manuscripts, and other dissemination materials.
- Coordinate project activities, including meeting arrangements, stakeholder communication, and project administration.
- Liaise with project collaborators and stakeholders as required.
- Undertake other research and administrative duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator: Asso Professor Jo Wu.
Expected Deliverables:
- Timely completion of assigned literature reviews and evidence summaries.
- Accurate and well-maintained research datasets and project records.
- Contributions to project reports, presentations, manuscripts, and other research outputs.
- Support for ethics applications and project documentation.
- Effective coordination of project meetings and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Completion of assigned tasks within agreed timelines and quality standards.
Qualification and Criteria:
Essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and databases searching.
- Bachelor‘s degree in public health, health sciences, medicine, nursing, psychology, social sciences, data science, or a related discipline.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a research team.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Ability to travel to study sites outside Hanoi as required.
Desirable
- Previous experience in health research, research assistance, or project coordination.
- Experience with literature reviews and academic writing.
- Experience with quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis software (e.g., REDCap, SPSS, Stata, R, NVivo).
- Interest in implementation science, digital health, artificial intelligence, or healthcare services research.
Appointment Details:
- Contract: The position is offered on an initial 6-month contract basis, with the first month serving as a probationary period. Subject to the availability of funding, project needs, satisfactory performance, and approval from IHS, the contract may be renewed..
