Position Overview
VinUniversity is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Industry and Careers Officer to build strategic partnerships with international and local employers and strengthen student employability and. This role supports the Head of Careers, Alumni, Industry and Development in executing industry engagement initiatives, building strategic partnerships, career development programs, and embedding industry best practice in activities for students and graduates.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industry trends, talent development and university–employer collaboration. This is a key role in supporting VinUniversity’s mission to develop talented, entrepreneurial, and work-ready graduates with global competitiveness to become future leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Industry and Employer Engagement:
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners across priority sectors in Vietnam and globally.
- Promote VinUniversity students and programs to potential employers and facilitate talent recruitment opportunities.
- Coordinate industry visits, employer talks, networking events, and on-campus recruitment drives.
- Support the creation of strategic partnerships for internships, mentorships, guest lectures, industry talks, masterclasses, experts sharing, company visits, capstone projects, and co-curricular collaboration.
Career Development and Students Support:
- Support the design and delivery of industry talks and career readiness programs, including career exploration, CV/resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
- Advise students on career options, internship planning, and post-graduation pathways.
- Collaborate with program directors and faculty to align academic courses with industry trends and employers expectations.
- Encourage student participation in career and industry events through targeted communications and outreach.
Internships Management:
- Coordinate internship placements and work-integrated learning programs across Colleges.
- Assist Colleges in consulting and providing aligned internship documentation, helping with employer liaison, and student feedback.
- Provide consulting in monitoring student engagement and performance during internships, and ensure a high-quality experience for students, host organizations and supervisors.
Data, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement:
- Work with Colleges to track and report on key metrics including internships and employment outcomes, employer engagement, employer and student satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of employer interactions and student placements in CRM and internal databases.
- Contribute to market research, alumni career tracking, and graduate outcomes reporting.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business-related degrees, Education, Human Resources, or related fields.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in employer relations, career services, university–industry engagement, or human capital development.
- Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Bilingual fluency in Vietnamese and English.
- High level of professionalism, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity.
Preferred:
- Experience in higher education, international institutions, or youth employment programs.
- Familiarity with career development tools, CRM platforms, and digital engagement strategies.
- Understanding of the Vietnamese job market and international hiring trends.
