Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated, dynamic, and detail-oriented Development Specialist to join our growing CAID team. The Development Specialist will play a key role in supporting the university’s fundraising efforts, managing donor relationships, coordinating stewardship activities, and contributing to strategic initiatives aimed at growing VinUniversity’s philanthropic and partnership base.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting policies relating to development
- Assist in planning and executing fundraising campaigns, donor events, and alumni engagement activities.
- Work closely with all VinUni faculty and staff to identify and develop fundraising opportunities.
- Research and identify potential donors, grantmakers, corporate partners, families, and foundations.
- Draft grant proposals, donor communications, sponsorship decks, and stewardship reports.
- Maintain and update the donor management system (CRM), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support the cultivation and stewardship of donor relationships through coordinated outreach, personalized communication, and timely follow-ups.
- Collaborate with faculty and departments to identify funding needs and opportunities.
- Develop content for newsletters, annual reports, and other advancement materials.
- Monitor fundraising metrics, prepare regular progress reports, and support data-driven strategy development.
- Coordinate logistics and planning for events and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, International Relations, Education, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in development, fundraising, grant writing, partnerships, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Vietnamese.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience using CRM software or donor databases is an advantage.
