ABOUT THE POSITION
VinUniversity is seeking a Finance Controller. Through his/her skills and abilities, we will be in possession of financial information and insight that can drive future developments and build on our achievements to date. The Finance Controller will provide consultation on finance effectiveness, improving financial performance, and mitigating risk.
The Finance Controller will report to the Chief Finance Officer
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assisting the CFO in establishing and continuously improving existing financial policies, procedures, and systems to develop improvements in efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
- Develops, reviews, revises, updates and oversees cost norms set.
- Review Unit’s budget, Project’s budget, University-wide consolidates and revises budget (if any).
- Prepares and develops financial forecasts, financial models.
- Cost control (including pre- and post-audit), manage major expenditures and capital requests.
- Oversees budget and budget execution to monitoring the progress.
- Prepares periodic management report, monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions and minimizing the impact of variances.
- Coordinates with other Units to monitor the progress of optimization plans, alert leaders of any risks of not meeting objectives, and enable leadership to take necessary actions to achieve committed optimization goals.
- Conduct post-audit inspections on financial aspects according to the approved plan, or irregularly as necessary.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Chief Finance Officer.
