THE OPPORTUNITY

VinUniversity is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced professional to provide financial support in a dynamic, fast-growing academic environment. This role contributes to the effective operation of the Finance function by supporting budget appraisal, monitoring, and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.

This position will report directly to the Chief Finance Officer. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Budget Appraisal & Monitoring: Support the review of research project budgets and assist in monitoring budget execution to track progress across research projects and research centers following VinUniversity’s regulations.
• Financial Reporting & Record Keeping: Support maintaining sufficient, accurate, well-organized financial records to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations; assist in data consolidation and preparation of reports.
• Compliance: conduct and support post-audit reviews on financial aspects according to the approved plan, or irregularly as necessary.
• SAP support: Assist in coordinating and resolving issues related to budget implementation and control on SAP.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Chief Finance Officer.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Business Administration or equivalent experience from an accredited institution.
• Some exposure or experience in financial control, project management, management accounting or auditing field is an advantage.
• Experience in a higher education or research funding organization setting is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Advanced technical Microsoft Office skills with advanced Excel skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in Vietnamese and English.
• Ability to work with faculty, staff, and students as well as community groups of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
• Rigorous and capable of high attention to detail over an extended period.
• Follows up and completes with precision, conscientious and diligent.
• Strives to achieve excellence and commit to the highest ethical standards and transparency.
