Position Summary
Full-time faculty members in the BN Program will be responsible for teaching, research, clinical supervision, and service. Faculty members will contribute to the academic development and accreditation of the nursing program and play an active role in shaping the future of nursing education in Vietnam.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning:
- Design and deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, and clinical training sessions.
- Develop and maintain course syllabi, assessments, and learning materials.
- Apply active and student-centered teaching methodologies.
- Supervise and advise students on academic and professional development.
Clinical Supervision:
- Facilitate and evaluate students during clinical placements.
- Serve as a liaison with clinical sites and ensure alignment with program standards.
- Uphold ethical and professional nursing practice during instruction.
Research and Scholarship:
- Conduct and publish research in nursing and health sciences.
- Seek internal and external funding opportunities.
- Integrate research findings into teaching and community engagement.
Service and Leadership:
- Participate in program committees and quality assurance activities.
- Support curriculum development, review, and accreditation efforts.
- Contribute to the promotion of nursing profession locally and globally.
Key Selection Criteria
- Education: A Master‘s degree (minimum) or a Doctorate (preferred) in Nursing or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Professional License: A valid nursing practice license/certificate.
- Clinical Experience: At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Teaching Experience: Prior experience teaching in a higher education or clinical training setting.
- English Proficiency: Excellent written and spoken English (VinUniversity is an English-medium instruction institution).
- Additional Skills: Strong commitment to innovation in teaching, collaboration, continuous improvement, and student success.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in curriculum development and program accreditation.
- Familiarity with international standards such as ACEN or similar.
- Evidence of research publications or funded research projects.
- International teaching or clinical experience is a plus.
