VinUniversity (VinUni) is the first private, not-for-profit Vietnamese university established based on international standards. The university integrates the models of excellent international universities with the unique cultural and economic characteristics of Vietnam, to make a breakthrough in Vietnamese higher education and to become a world-class university.

ABOUT THE ROLE

About VinLEAD Emerging

VinLEAD is VinUniversity‘s flagship leadership development platform designed to identify, accelerate, and cultivate high-potential talents for future leadership roles within VinUniversity and the broader Vingroup ecosystem, creating a leadership pipeline from emerging talents to future executives. Built on the belief that leadership is developed through meaningful experiences, real-world challenges, and continuous learning, VinLEAD provides a structured pathway for exceptional talents to broaden their perspectives, accelerate their growth, and unlock their full potential.

As the first tier of the VinLEAD, VinLEAD – Emerging is a highly selective 24-month Leadership Acceleration Program created exclusively for outstanding VinUni alumni at the early stages of their careers. The program is designed for individuals who are eager to challenge themselves, take on greater responsibilities, unlock their full potential and accelerate their journey toward leadership.

Through cross-functional rotations, strategic projects, leadership mentoring, professional development opportunities, and exposure to university-wide transformation initiatives, participants will gain hands-on experience, develop critical leadership capabilities, and build a deep understanding of higher education management.

Participants will work closely with university leaders, faculty members, researchers, and cross-functional teams across Academic Administration, Central Administration, And Research Support functions. Along the way, they will contribute to strategic initiatives that support VinUniversity‘s growth as a world-class, and research-intensive institution.

The program is designed to cultivate future leaders who demonstrate intellectual curiosity, AI literacy, analytical thinking, execution excellence, and a passion for creating meaningful impact. Beyond developing functional expertise, participants will strengthen their leadership capabilities, stakeholder management skills, and ability to navigate complexity in a rapidly evolving environment.

As a strategic leadership talent pipeline for VinUniversity, VinLEAD - Emerging aims to prepare participants for first-time manager and manager-track roles within 24 months through a combination of strategic exposure, challenging assignments, leadership development, and real-world responsibilities.

Successful participants will be considered for accelerated career progression opportunities, including leadership-track roles within VinUniversity or the broader Vingroup ecosystem.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

The responsibilities outlined below are intended to provide an overview of the program‘s overall objectives and expectations. Specific assignments, projects, and responsibilities will vary throughout the program and will be determined based on each VinLEAD Emerging participant’s rotation, project placement, development needs, and university priorities. Participants should expect a dynamic and evolving experience as they work across different functions, strategic initiatives, and leadership development opportunities.

As a VinLEAD Emerging participant, you will:

• Participate in cross-functional rotations and development assignments across key functions and strategic initiatives at VinUniversity.
• Contribute to high-impact projects that support VinUniversity‘s Vision 2030 and long-term institutional priorities.
• Support the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of strategic initiatives, transformation programs, and innovation projects.
• Conduct research, analysis, and problem-solving to support decision-making and organizational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with leaders, faculty, staff, and stakeholders across the VinUni and Vingroup ecosystem.
• Embody VinUniversity‘s EXCEL values and contribute positively to the university community.
• Demonstrate ownership, learning agility, and a growth mindset when tackling complex challenges and new opportunities.
• Embrace the spirit of Pay It Forward by supporting peers, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a culture of learning and excellence at VinUni.
• Actively engage in mentoring, coaching, leadership development, and professional learning opportunities.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS 

• Bachelor‘s degree from VinUniversity with outstanding academic achievement.
• Demonstrate leadership potential through internships, student leadership, research projects, entrepreneurial activities, community engagement, or professional experience.
• Data-driven mindset and strong AI literacy with the ability to effectively leverage AI tools
• Intellectual curiosity and genuine interest in higher education, research, innovation, and organizational development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
• Strong learning agility and ability to thrive in fast-changing, high-performance environments is an advantage

Participants who successfully achieve their first-year milestones and meet MBA admission requirements may commence their MBA studies during the second year of the program, or at another mutually agreed time.
