THE OPPORTUNITY
At VinUniversity, our mission is to create the first world-class student affairs office in Vietnam with an aim to provide the best experience to our students and the parents.
We are seeking a Student Affairs Officer, who will be in charge of student engagement, events, and club development, working closely with the Student Affairs team to bring campus life to life through creative programming and strong student partnerships.
The Officer will play a key role in building a strong community of students, staff, and faculty by collaborating with all units of the university to ensure that a vibrant, educationally purposeful, co-curricular experience is offered and that quality services are provided to ensure student success and retention.
Student Affairs Officer will also support the Head of Student Affairs in designing the conceptual framework and delivering the best experience to the students.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Student Clubs & Leadership Development
- Serve as the main contact for all student clubs and organizations.
- Guide club operations, proposals, budgets, and activity approvals in line with university policy.
- Support leadership training and capacity building for student leaders.
2. Events & Engagement Programs
- Support in planning and executing student engagement events such as Orientation, Festivals, and cultural activities.
- Collaborate with university departments and student committees to deliver impactful, safe, and inclusive programs.
- Promote student activities through communication channels and collect feedback for improvement.
3. Collaboration, Administration & Support
- Work closely with Residence Life, Wellbeing, and Career teams to deliver holistic student development programs.
- Maintain records, budgets, and reports for clubs and events.
- Provide front-line support and ensure compliance with policies, safety, and service standards.
- Contribute ideas for new initiatives that enhance student engagement and wellbeing.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication, or related field; a Master’s degree in Education, Communication, or related field is a plus.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in higher education, student affairs, or event management.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Experience working with students, planning events, and managing multiple stakeholders.
- A passion for youth development, creativity, and community building.
- Fluency in English and Vietnamese.
