THE OPPORTUNITY
At VinUniversity, our mission is to create the first world-class student affairs office in Vietnam with an aim to provide the best experience to our students and the parents.
The Collaborator will play a key role in building a strong community of students, staff, and faculty by collaborating with all units of the university to ensure that a vibrant, educationally purposeful, co-curricular experience is offered and that quality services are provided to ensure student success and retention.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Off-Campus Residences Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for students in off-campus housing regarding security, maintenance, service feedback, emergencies, and general inquiries.
- Coordinate with property managers, service vendors, and local authorities to ensure smooth operation, compliance with safety regulations, and timely response to student needs.
- Support the allocation and move-in/move-out process for students in off-campus residences, ensuring accurate records of occupancy.
- Monitor and report any facility-related issues, propose improvements, and ensure off-campus residences maintain VinUniversity’s living standards.
Wellbeing Promotion & Crisis Response
Overall, this person needs to collaborate with the Mental Health Taskforce and external partners to provide accessible well-being services.
- Wellbeing Promotion
- Collaborate with on-campus division and support wellbeing programs and awareness campaigns (e.g., stress management, mental health workshops, healthy living).
- Conduct regular wellbeing check-ins and screenings for off-campus residents to early detect possible risks and report to the Head of Department and relevant personnel.
- Develop and maintain peer support initiatives to enhance student resilience and community care.
- Support to develop and distribute wellbeing resources (digital and print) relevant to off-campus living.
- Promote health and wellbeing policies, equipping students with coping strategies for academic and personal challenges.
- Crisis Intervention
- Serve as a first responder for student crises in off-campus housing (e.g., mental health, safety, interpersonal conflicts), provide immediate support and coordinate referrals and reporting as needed.
- Maintain crisis response protocols, document incidents, and ensure appropriate follow-up in alignment with university policies.
KEY SELECT CRITERIA
- A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in student affairs, residential life, , or community management (experience with off-campus or mixed housing is preferred).
- Knowledge and experience of student wellbeing frameworks, crisis management, and intercultural sensitivity is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with diverse student populations.
- Ability to work independently and respond calmly under pressure
- Fluent in English (minimum IELTS 6.5 or equivalent).
