THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Officer for Research Institute of Stem cell and Gene technology (VRISG), College of Health Sciences, VinUniversity. The successful candidate will be responsible for quality control of clinical trials, including monitoring the compliance with research activities to regulatory requirements and research ethics, evaluate risks, and propose improvements.

The candidate will work in a prestigious and international scientific environment at College of Health Sciences, VinUniversity. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Quality assurance:Develop and implement quality control procedures for clinical trial processes and documentation.
• Monitoring and auditing:Conduct regular audits of clinical trial activities to ensure compliance with protocols, regulatory requirements, and GCP standards.
• Data integrity:Ensure the accuracy and completeness of clinical trial data through rigorous review and validation processes.
• Training and development:Provide training to clinical research staff on quality control procedures and GCP guidelines.
• Documentation:Maintain detailed records of quality control activities, audit findings, and corrective actions taken.
• Issue resolution:Identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Compliance:Ensure all clinical trial activities are conducted in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including IRB, MOH and other relevant guidelines.
• Continuous improvement:Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the quality and efficiency of clinical trial processes.
• Other duties: Perform other duties as assigned by Institute Board of Directors.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Educational Level/Professional Qualification:

• Master’s degree in Clinical Research, Biomedical Science, Public Health, Biology, Pharmacy or a related field.

Relevant Experience for the Position:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in reputable hospitals, universities, or research institutions; including experience working at foreign hospitals/universities/research institutions.
• At least 3 years of research experience in clinical trials or medical research.
• At least 2 years of experience in quality management, quality control, or a related field.

Personal Qualities/Work Attitude:

• Proficiency in regulatory requirements of clinical research.
• Dedicated, honest, responsible, with a spirit of learning.
• Ability to work effectively under high pressure.
• Proactive and progressive thinking, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.

Soft Skills:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Time management skills, ability to multitask and prioritize.

Other Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Programming is of advantage

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY

English is the primary language of communication at the VinUni Research Institute of Stem Cell and Gene Technology. For this role, the candidate must demonstrate excellent reading, written and verbal communication skills in English. The minimum requirement is IELTS (Academic) with a score of at least 6.0 (or equivalent).
