Job Description
The VinUniversity Center for Innovations in Health Sciences (IHS) is committed to advancing innovative solutions that promote health, wellness, and disease prevention, enhance early detection, and deliver accessible precision medicine for prevalent health challenges in Vietnam, Southeast Asia, and beyond. IHS aim to be the leading authority on healthcare access and social determinants of health that impact health outcomes in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, with the goal of developing policies, practices, and interventions that improve health and well-being for all.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
IHS is looking for highly motivated postdoctoral researchers who are committed to advancing impactful, mission-driven science contributing to the Center’s growing research ecosystem of interdisciplinary health research.
The postdoctoral researcher will join 24 months projects named 1-“IMPACT-CKM”; 2-“Uncovering consumer-centric health insights using AI to enhance telehealth delivery (I-CARE AI)”, focused on health services research and digital health innovation, with the goal of generating new insights into AI-enabled integrated care models for cardiovascular–kidney–metabolic (CKM) conditions, patient engagement, and technology adoption in healthcare settings. The IMPACT-CKM project aims to generate local epidemiological evidence, CKM-informed care models with key stakeholders, and pilot implementation strategies within existing health system structures. The I-CARE project focuses on developing an AI model to identify consumer characteristics, complex patterns and relationships that may not be apparent through traditional analysis methods. Using Python programming and machine learning algorithms to uncover valuable insights to enhance clinical decision-making and care strategies. Working within a multidisciplinary team at IHS, the postdoc will contribute to systematic/type of critical literature reviews, data management, and both quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The role also requires proficiency in Python programming and the application of machine learning techniques to support data-driven insights. In addition, the preparation of scientific outputs and reports that directly advance the project’s research aims and broader institutional priorities.
