ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

VinUniversity is looking for an entrepreneurial-minded Strategic Planning Officer who is passionate about strategic planning/project management in a fast-paced international higher education environment

The Strategic Planning Officer will report directly to President of University Council and will work as a coordinator to consolidate and manage the overall strategic plan, action plan, report from Colleges/Departments of the University and as a project manager for new projects/initiatives. You will contribute to design the initiatives strategy with scientific proven record which helps the University Council to make final decision as well as contribute to the systemization, standardization, simplification, automation of the management plan of university - wide. You will work closely with all Senior Leaders of Colleges/Departments to deliver the excellence in our educational mission, bring the remarkable value to VinUniversity.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Coordinate the search of information, data and benchmarks to build the university strategy and products/services

• Coordinate in the task of three-year cost estimation, annual planning and periodical management reports

• Coordinate the task of planning and implementation of the core projects and initiatives.

• Collaborates with Colleges/Departments’ leaders to consolidate the strategic goals, action plan, reports of the University, and keep track of outcomes/ deliverables as planned

• Identifies and researches trends in higher education industry; analyzes, updates the information, and proposes new initiatives to the VinUni leaders

• Supports in managing the information management system of the University

• Supports in managing policies and regulations system of the University

• Coordinate other tasks assigned by President of University Council

• Other strategic planning tasks as required.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

• Master graduate from a prestige university in Business, Management or related field

• A minimum of five-year experience in planning or project management in a sophisticated diverse environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skill in English. The minimum requirement is IELTS (Academic) with a score of at least 7.5 (or equivalent).

• Thorough understanding about higher education industry

• Critical competencies needed: Critical thinking, Strategic thinking, Data analysis, Digital literacy, Organizational skills, Discipline and Resilience, Cultural sensitivity, Communication, Achievement oriented, Adaptability.
