THE OPPORTUNITY

VinUniversity is looking for an entrepreneurial-minded Graduate Admissions Counselor who is passionate about higher education and building a better future for individuals, communities, and our country.

The Graduate Admissions Counselor will undertake administrative processes to handle the admission of students, and manage the school’s central admission systems at VinUniversity. The Student Admissions Counselor will work closely with the admission team and other departments such as Marketing, to provide highest standard of customer relations at all times, including students and their parents.

The Graduate Admissions Counselor is also responsible for the attractions of VinUniversity to future students and parents, as a world-class standard university.

The Graduate Admissions Counselor must have strong creative, professional writing skills and technology skills to create social initiatives, admission campaign, advertisings that grow our brand as an international standard university. You will be a continuous learner, following and absorbing the insights of social media, and the admission process of academic worlds and incorporating best practices into the University admission strategy to successfully/strategically attract many students, especially the top talents...

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Outreach & Recruitment      

  • Develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies for graduate programs (Master, MBA, PhD, and Residency).
  • Organize and participate in recruitment events, webinars, graduate fairs, and campus visits.
  • Collaborate with academic units and faculty to promote programs effectively.
  • Build and maintain relationships with partner universities, research centers, and feeder institutions in Vietnam and abroad.

Admissions Process Management 

  • Advise prospective students on admission requirements, application procedures, financial aid, and scholarships.
  • Review and evaluate applications based on academic background, professional experience, and program fit.
  • Coordinate with faculty admissions committees for interviews, selection, and decisions.
  • Ensure smooth operations of the application portal and CRM system.

Applicant Experience & Conversion             

  • Provide individualized support throughout the applicant journey: from inquiry to enrollment.
  • Track, analyze, and report applicant funnel metrics and conversion rates.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing content (brochures, FAQs, website, email campaigns) tailored for graduate audiences.

Strategic Support      

  • Contribute insights on trends in graduate education, applicant behavior, and competitor benchmarks.
  • Support the implementation of graduate enrollment goals aligned with VinUni’s strategic growth plan.
  • Assist in the planning of new program launches and international outreach campaigns.

Others

    • Other administrative works related to admissions reports, budgeting, office management, and the student onboarding process.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent understanding of recruiting and staffing processes and strategies, and all related legal regulations.
  • Ability to research the labor and competitive markets, analyze trends, and formulate strategic advice for leaders.
  • Skilled in Sales and Marketing, with excellent communication abilities and the capacity to build rapport quickly and effectively.
  • Must have the ability to interact and converse well with expatriates, teachers, and students.
  • Able to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Must be a self-starter, pro-active, and have excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be computer literate, and experience in database management systems is an added advantage.
  • Strong motivational and communication skills with good command of spoken & written English.
  • Possess a pleasant and mature attitude and are well-groomed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Vietnamese and English.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Candidate must possess a minimum Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Education, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or its equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with an educational institution in a similar or related field(s) or proven track record of relevant work experience demonstrating practical and theoretical knowledge of student admissions.
  • Strong plus for candidates with overseas study background or who demonstrate a solid understanding of international colleges & universities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and data analysis tools is a plus.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY

  • English is the language of teaching and communication at VinUniversity. For this role, the candidate needs to have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. The minimum requirement is IELTS (Academic) with a score of at least 6.5 (or equivalent).
