THE OPPORTUNITY
The Global Engagement Officer is an integral member of the Global Engagement Department of VinUniversity. The post holder will be tasked with executing activities related to the administration, budgeting and finance, and development of the different activities of the Department including the Vingroup Science and Technology Scholarship Program, fellowship/grant program for exchange students, as well as general academic engagement responsibilities.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Academic Contact Database Management:
- Manage, monitor and analyze the university’s database of academic partnerships and contacts
- Manage the database systems that support the academic reputation ranking process and the academic partnerships of the university
- Update the academic contact database and maintain the accuracy of the dataset
Academic Partnership:
- Support with the management and development of academic partnerships for the university
- Maintain the relationships with academic partners through different communication channels
Collaboration and communication with Internal & External Stakeholders:
- Contribute to content creation of the academic newsletters to enhance VinUni‘s academic reputation, focusing on academic milestones, research impact, and collaborations
- Compose the internal and external messages to communicate about the academic reputation management efforts
- Communicate with academic stakeholders to keep them informed of the academic and research developments at VinUni and strengthen relationships with these stakeholders to support the university’s reputation
- Ensure smooth communication across academic and administrative departments, aligning internal stakeholders with the university’s academic reputation objectives
- Assist in engaging with academic organizations, alumni, and external partners to enhance VinUni’s academic reputation globally
Events & Conferences Support:
- Help organize academic events, seminars, webinars, and conferences that showcase VinUni’s research and academic leadership
- Research and recommend academic conferences and events that align with the university’s branding and academic goals
- Provide support for faculty and researchers in their participation in prestigious international academic events
- Support for university wide academic related events
Other tasks as assigned by line manager
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Data Analytics, Public Relations, Communications/Marketing or a related field.
Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in academic partnership, data management, or communications, preferably within higher education or a related industry.
- Experience with handling a large amount of dataset, working with Excel and data management system
- Experience in writing and content creation, with an understanding of academic communications and branding.
Skills & Competencies:
- Data management skills
- Data analysis skills
- Strong Microsoft office skills and AI tools usage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
