THE OPPORTUNITY
VinUni invites applications from innovative, visionary and inspiring competent leaders for the position of Vice President of Administration.
The Vice President of Administration serves as the Chief Administrative Officer and provides senior leadership and supervises support departments, including: Information Technology, Finance and Accounting, Operations and Facilities, Marketing & Communications, Legal Compliance & Quality Control.
The Vice President of Administration will aim to improve institutional efficiency and effectiveness. The Vice President of Administration will advise and ensure the sustainable financial model of the University.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the highest leader of administrations of the University, provide leadership for the following areas to ensure the seamless operations of the University: Information Technology, Finance and Accounting, Operations and Facilities, Marketing & Communications, Legal Compliance & Quality Control.
- Contribute to the development of Institution strategic plans and decisions by the President, andparticipate as a member of the Executive, to achieve the Institution’s objectives.
- Build and ensure the sustainable business model of the University, sustainable financial model, drive revenue and profit growth through the creation and implementation of educational programs/business model solutions while seeking for potential business development opportunities to expand the footprint of the Institution.
- Design and develop the effective management system in order to meet the international and nationalquality of standard of the educational programs of the Institution.
- Represents the Institution to liaise with clients, suppliers, vendors and other businesspartners…
- Provides leadership and expertise in strategic communications and branding to raise the visibility of the VinUniversity as a world class university.
- Identifying and resolving significant, complex and sensitive issues related to Institution day-to-day operations, given the need for innovative, evidence-based solutions and judgements, academia implications and requirement for transparency.
QUALIFICATIONS & CHARACTERISTICS
- A master‘s degree or higher in a related field is preferred, especially an MBA or Finance areas.
- A minimum of 7-10 years of directly related experience in progressively responsible financial and operational management positions is required. Leadership experience in comparable higher education institutions.
- In-depth knowledge of the full range of issues addressed by a finance and operations executive in a start-up environment or higher education.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, students and the external community.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
